41 year old Taylor Lianne Chandler was actually born a boy, and named David Roy Fitch at birth. She revealed recently that she had a fling with Michael Phelps, 29, that involved sex. She told National Enquirer how they met and claimed he didn't know she was a transgender; 

"We hooked up on the dating app Tinder, in late August. They finally met of Sept 21 when he invited me to his home to watch a Baltimore Ravens game. I was a bit nervous, but after a few minutes he made me feel so comfortable. One thing led to the next and we made love during halftime. Later we had intimacy again. The intimacy with him was amazing! It was the first time in my life that someone made me feel like a true woman."

"I never lied to him. We were together for such a short period of time. I never had a chance to tell him about my life."

UK's first 'poo bus' goes into service between Bristol and Bath

The 40-seat "Bio-Bus" runs on biomethane gas generated through the treatment of sewage and food waste.

The eco-friendly vehicle can travel up to 300 km (186 miles) on one tank of gas, which takes the annual waste of about five people to produce.

It is run by tour operator Bath Bus Company and will shuttle people between Bristol Airport and Bath city centre.

The biomethane gas is generated at Bristol sewage treatment works in Avonmouth, which is run by GENeco, a subsidiary of Wessex Water.

Supreme Court reinstates impeached Taraba Deputy governor

Former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Sanni Danladi, who was impeached by the state House of Assembly in October 2012 under questionable circumstances has been reinstated as the new governor of the state by the Supreme court of Nigeria. Alhaji Danladi served as the deputy governor of the state under Dambaba Suntai who is now very ill. 

Delivering its judgement today, the Supreme Court led by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, ruled that the impeachment panel set up by the House of Assembly to investigate all the allegations leveled against Danladi did not give him fair hearing as he was not given any opportunity to speak for himself during any of the panels proceedings.

Delta EPZ project crisis: Tompolo denies any involvement, blames Uduaghan, Keyamo

Ex-militant Ekpemupolo, (alias Tompolo) has denied any involvement in the $16 billion Export Processing Zone (EPZ) project crisis rocking Delta State. In a bid to clear himself of any wrong doing, Tompolo released a statement today where he accused the current Delta state governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan and his predecessor, Jame Ibori of trying to use the project to collect the land belonging to his people, the Ijaws of Gbaramatu kingdom.

Boko Haram kills 45 in fresh attacks in Borno state

No fewer than 45 people were killed by Boko Haram members in an attack on Azaya Kura village in the Mafa local government area of Borno state on Wednesday November 19th.

According to residents of the village who fled to Maiduguri the state capital for safety, the sect members arrived their village at about 12noon on motorcycles, shooting anyone in sight

“So far, 45 men have been killed and there are others that died in the bushes as a result of bleeding from bullet wounds,” said one resident

National Assembly to re-open on November 25th as David Mark shuts it down

Senate President, David Mark has ordered the shut down of the National Assembly till Tuesday next week, November 25th, following this morning's chaos in which the Speaker of the House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal, and other lawmakers were allegedly teargassed and prevented from entering the Assembly complex. Mark announced this moments ago at the Senate plenary session.

The IG of police has also been ordered to appear before the House to explain what happened today.

Update on Nat'l assembly palaver: Speaker finally gains access into House

Speaker of the House of Reps Aminu Tambuwal has finally gained access into the House Chamber. There was chaos outside the Assembly complex this morning as police tried to prevent him and other lawmakers from entering the complex. Some had to scale the gates after all entry points were sealed off leaving only one open where many were thoroughly frisked and some turned back. There are allegations that most of the lawmakers turned back were from the APC. The police at some point even fired teargas and there are reports that some lawmakers fainted.

I Will Not Dump APC- Atiku

Former Vice-President and a Presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has said he will not dump the party should he fail to secure the Presidential ticket.

Atiku, made this promise yesterday in Benin, the Edo State capital, at a meeting with some party leaders to solicit the support of Edo delegates to the primaries.

The Presidential aspirant said his experience in government triggered him to vie for the Presidency. He said further that his wealth of democratic experience and entrepreneurial capability has set him apart from other candidates.

His words: “My reason for seeking the presidential ticket, most importantly, is to serve. I have a passion for service and I do not intend to give up on Nigeria. There is nothing going on in the country, whether it is security or economy.”

Lawmaker Seeks To Amend Electoral Act To Accommodate IDPs

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, at the upper arm of the legislative chamber has proposed a bill to amend the Electoral Act to allow Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to participate in the 2015 general elections.

The bill aims to make provisions for the displaced people from Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states, by establishing polling units where they will participate in the coming elections apart from their previous registration units.

It also seeks amendment of Section 42 of the Principal Act by inserting new Sub-clause 42 (2), which states that “the commission shall establish polling units for Internally Displaced Persons, (IDPs) in their respective camps nationwide.”

The bill, which scaled first reading in the Senate yesterday, will be cited as the Electoral Act, 2010 (Amendment) Bill, 2014.

Aftermath Of Ebola Virus Disease: Lagos State Govt Abandons Isolation Centre

The World Health Organization (WHO), on Monday, October 20, declared Nigeria free of the deadly Ebola virus after six weeks with no new cases. The announcement portrayed Nigeria and its officials as being proactive to the killer disease with much resistance and public service announcement from the government and civil organizations to the public, educating and informing them on measures to nip the virus in the bud.

While the focus of the Ebola virus was centred on Lagos, the state government created a special isolated area for victims and suspected cases at the Mainland Hospital, also known as Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), in Yaba. More after cut.....

Nigerian Troops Prevent Speaker Aminu Tambuwal From Entering The National Assembly

Some 1000 soldiers and policemen have sealed the entrance of the National Assembly in Abuja and physically prevented the Speaker of the House from entering.
The Speaker of the House, Aminu Tambuwal arrived the National Assembly today with a view to preside over the sitting of the House but fierce looking troops posted the stopped him at the gate. A melee has ensued as a result.

202 teeth found in 7 yrs old girl's mouth

Days after a 7 year old girl in New Delhi complained of severe mouth pain, her parents took her to the dentist to find out what was wrong - what they found inside the girl's mouth, astounded everyone, including the dentist.

The dentist found 202 teeth hidden inside the little girl's gum. According to a report by New Delhi Standard, X-rays showed the girl had suffered from compound odontoma - a complex tumour composed of normal dental tissues that have grown in an irregular way.

"It was shocking to see such complex situation in the minor's mouth. Normally we see a few abnormal teeth-like structures in such patients; 202 of them inside the mouth of a seven-year-old is shocking, and our prime task was to get rid of it." said the doctor who performed the two hour surgery to remove the extra teeth.

The surgery was successful and the little girl has been able to chew and is now living a normal life.
