You know that cube that was coming? Well that was the first surprise of the night as it turned out to contain the newly rebranded Gulder bottle!
The new bold bottle has the embossed ‘Gulder’ name on both sides of the bottle, also another first. It is still uniquely brown, but now comes with an attractive golden ‘stenoil’ that is not only a symbol of pride but also an indication of the quality of the lager.
The excitement of the night continued to build when the Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries, Walter Drenth removed a scroll from inside the Cube to stun the audience with another announcement that this year, for the first time ever, there would be 14 contestants for Gulder Ultimate Search going into the jungle instead of the expected 10!
Iwuoha Ikkenna, Iroh Noela, Nwagboso Joshua, Emedike Ikenna, Robinson Sharon, Nwagbaghiro Sandra Nne Cosy Joe, Appi Samantha, Ubachukwu Chinedu, Erhijakpor Loretta, Otto Canon Chimenem, Afolabi Emmanuel Olusegun, Eriata Blessing Ese, Addoh Evi make-up the 14 lucky contestants going to Aguleri jungle.
And if that wasn’t enough, just when you thought the night had revealed all its secrets, Darey Art-Alade, the host of the event, called on Nollywood star, Chidi Mokeme, who returns as Anchor Man to take the stage, much to the surprise and delight of all that were present.
The thrilling night started with great performances by Burna Boy, an international ‘Tanoura’ dancer from Dubai and comedy from Gordons, but ended with the ultimate clubbing experience as a tag team of DJ Xclusive and DJ Spinall, transformed the venue and sparked up the guests with an endless playlist of the biggest party hits.
